Jul 30: wildalphin.com is getting a redesign!

Jul 30: New interface for photos.

Welcome...

If you've come here, you either know me through some route (school, work, family, etc), or accidentally stumbled here for God only knows what reason. Maybe you read a movie review I wrote, saw my blog, whatever. The point is you're here, so I guess the only thing to do is make the most of it or just continue on to better places.

So, if you're completely unfamiliar with me, or are trying to verify that I am who you think I am, my name is William "Wil" Dalphin. I was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and grew up in Indiana, Vermont and Maryland. I attended the Indiana Academy for Science, Mathematics and the Humanities for high school and Clarkson University for college. I've worked for Traders' Connection (TCON), Woodard & Curran, Aurora & Quanta, Empirix (aka RSW Software), Adobe, UpToDate, and Jack Morton. I've been a cartoonist, photographer, writer, programmer, graphic designer, quality assurance engineer, and many other things. I currently live in Massachusetts.

Photo Pages improved again

So I've revamped the photo pages again, using the lovely JAlbum software, which allows you to drag and drop photos or directories of photos into its interface and let it take control in creating the pages for you. It's very nice, I think, though I struggled a bit because of some sorting issues. The main thing is that I can now put photos of Katie up here on my website instead of on flickr (though this means the flickr app on my blog isn't going to update... I'll have to do something about that). It even allows for comments, not just for each photo, but for an entire section! Please feel free to peruse it and make comments, etc.

Another redesign...

So, in my continuing effort to make this site more appealing to the eye and less like a piece of garbage floating down the information super-sewer, I have changed the layout to something more accessible and not so agonizing on the eyes.

Photo pages revamped

As part of the redesign, I've implemented some lovely new stylesheet / javascript thing to run the photos page a lot cleaner. I'll probably be cleaning up a bunch of unimportant files too, screenshots from video games, journal images that are no longer necessary, etc. Don't worry, the kittyloaf page will remain as is.
